William Mayer is the Strategic Programs Education Specialist with TCMPC at Education Service Center Region 13. He received a master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!) and is passionate about supporting multilingual students.

What hELPS: Implementing the New English Language Proficiency Standards

The English Language Proficiency Standards have been updated for the first time in nearly 20 years, and we are ready to help! Participants will explore the basics of language proficiency, key changes to the new ELPS, and apply the standards through hands-on practice. Participants will also explore the design of K-12, cross-curricular ELPS Specificity and other EB-support resources, whether they use TCMPC TEKS Resource System or work within their own district’s existing resources.
