Amplifying Coaching Culture: Empowering Teachers with a Differentiated Instructional Playbook

In this session, we will explore a solution to the know-doing gap by learning how to create and use a digital instructional playbook when coaching teachers. Attendees will learn how to create implementation one-pagers that will empower teachers to successfully launch an instructional best practice in their classroom with the ultimate goal of partnering with coaches to improve student learning. We will explore the process of creating a differentiated instructional playbook that includes digital one-pagers with embedded resources and leveling-up opportunities, how to advertise it to staff, how to make it accessible to teachers, how to use it while coaching teachers, how to share it with other campus instructional leaders to use when coaching teachers, and how the playbook will serve as a launchpad for future instructional coaching initiatives and professional development opportunities. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a digital playbook, brainstorm, and plan how they will create and use an instructional playbook on their campus. They will leave feeling equipped and empowered to create or tweak their instructional playbook.
