Differentiating Coaching: Building Your Coaching Strategy Toolbox

Instructional coaches often feel pressured to provide the same kind of support to all of their teachers, putting them on a rotation and filling out novels of documentation. But that approach doesn’t always meet our teachers’ needs and support them in the way they need! In this session, you’ll learn how to differentiate your coaching support based on teacher needs, which supports will be most impactful given your time and teacher willingness, and how to offer the support in the moment. You’ll walk away with new tools to add to your coaching toolbox, and you’ll know which tool is the best in any situation! In addition, you’ll design your coaching menu to focus your coaching work while giving teachers choice!
