Kari Hibdon serves as the Director of Academic Supports in the Office of Special Populations and Student Supports (OSPSS) at the Texas Education Agency (TEA). With experience spanning campus, district, and state levels, she is passionate about inclusive practices, Universal Design for Learning, and leveraging strategic partnerships to improve outcomes for every learner.

Implementing Specially Designed Instruction with Bluebonnet Learning

 This session introduces TEA’s SDI Field User Guides for K–5 RLA and K–12 Math, showing how they support SDI design within Bluebonnet Learning lessons. Through fast-paced analysis of planning scenarios, coaches will identify SDI needs, examine sample actions, and embed them into Tier 1.

Participants will practice facilitation and feedback strategies for collaborative planning between general and special educators. Coaches leave with replicable tools and strategies for everyday instruction.
